How we handle personal information on the Ardela marketing site and when you get in touch.
Ardela Limited (“Ardela”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the public website at https://www.ardela.ai (the “Site”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit the Site or contact us. The Ardela product application at app.ardela.ai is governed by the application terms and notices in the Ardela Legal Centre.

Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us, request a demo, or submit a form, you may provide:
- Name and work email address
- Phone number, if you choose to give one
- Message contents and any other details you choose to share
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site we may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and pages viewed. Optional analytics and marketing measurement are on by default and use cookies and similar technologies, including a first-party cookie recording where you found us. You can turn both off at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in our footer, and we honour the browser Do Not Track signal without being asked. Once you turn them off, no analytics is recorded, no marketing cookie is written, and the existing one is deleted.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, demos, and support requests
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Understand aggregate traffic and content performance
- Send updates you have asked for (you can opt out at any time)
- Meet legal obligations
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Where UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (operating and improving the Site, responding to business enquiries), consent where required for optional cookies or marketing, and legal obligation where applicable.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers who help us host the Site, deliver email, run analytics, and manage business enquiries, under contracts that restrict how they use your data. Where analytics is on, an enquiry you send us may be linked to your earlier visits so we can understand how you found us. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent mechanisms.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to respond to enquiries and meet legal requirements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. The first-party cookie remembering where you found us expires after 90 days. Records of account activity, such as account creation and subscription changes, are deleted after 2 years.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may turn off analytics and marketing measurement at any time (through the “Cookie preferences” link in our website footer, by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, or by contacting us) — doing so stops further optional capture and deletes the first-party marketing cookie, but does not affect prior lawful processing. To exercise these rights, contact hello@ardela.ai. To make a privacy complaint directly to Ardela, use our contact form. We will acknowledge it within 30 days, keep you informed while we consider it, and tell you the outcome. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at any time.
Children
The Site is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
