Security for sensitive legal work.

Ardela is designed around confidential recordings, documents, and legal workflows, with clear boundaries for access and every AI-assisted change.

Controls firms can evaluate.

This is a public product overview, not a certification claim. Available controls and contractual commitments depend on plan and deployment.

UK-hosted by default

Client recordings and documents are hosted in the UK by default. Deployment and contractual requirements can be discussed during enterprise evaluation.

Workspace access controls

Roles, permissions, and sharing grants limit who can access work. Enterprise plans add controls such as SAML SSO and enforced MFA.

Encryption and auditability

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Audit trails support governance by recording relevant access and actions within the workspace.

Human approval for AI changes

Clara proposes changes on approval cards. A note, letter, or contract is not silently overwritten before an authorised user accepts the proposal.

Governance starts before rollout

Firms should assess purpose, access, retention, supervision, and data protection before putting client work into any AI system. Our AI compliance guide links to primary ICO, SRA, Judiciary, and Law Society guidance to support that evaluation. It is not legal advice.

Review the governing documents
